AS TRANSFORMAÇÕES DO SÉC. XIX E A IMIGRAÇÃO DOS BRUMMER E DOS JESUÍTAS PARA O RIO GRANDE DO SUL

Abstract

RESUMO
É de grande relevância que estudos dedicados aos movimentos migratórios direcionados ao Rio Grande do Sul durante o século XIX atentem para as rupturas e continuidades desse processo. Nesse sentido, torna-se necessário olhar para os contextos que levaram à migração de grupos humanos e de que forma impactaram suas experiências e modos de vida transplantados ao Rio Grande do Sul. Com base nestes pressupostos e considerando o contexto político da região alemã durante o oitocentos, percebe-se que o conflituoso horizonte que conduziu à formação de um Estado-Nação alemão em 1871 expeliu grupos que se opuseram ou ofereceram alternativas, em determinados momentos, às formatações políticas vigentes. Assim, o presente trabalho apresenta transformações do século XIX referentes ao contexto político alemão que resultaram na migração de dois importantes grupos de alemães para o Rio Grande do Sul, os brummer e os jesuítas.

ABSTRACT
It is of great relevance that studies dedicated to migratory movements directed to Rio Grande do Sul during the 19th century pay attention to the ruptures and continuities of this process. In this sense, it is necessary to look at the contexts that led to the migration of human groups and how they impacted their transplanted experiences and ways of life in Rio Grande do Sul. Based on these assumptions and considering the political context of the German region during the 19th century, it is clear that the conflicting horizon that led to the formation of a German nation-state in 1871 expelled groups that opposed or offered alternatives, at certain times, to the current political formations. Thus, the present work presents transformations of 19th century regarding the German political context that resulted in the migration of two important groups of Germans to Rio Grande do Sul, the Brummer and the Jesuits.
