SANDRA JATAHY PESAVENTO: ENTRE REDES DE COLABORAÇÃO CIENTÍFICA, ESPAÇOS E VIAGENS INTELECTUAIS

Abstract

RESUMO
Através de uma história dos deslocamentos intelectuais da historiadora gaúcha Sandra Jatahy Pesavento, pretendemos refletir sobre como as experiências de mobilidade científica se destacam na sua produção e como foram se mobilizando ao longo do tempo. Privilegiamos a reflexão que estabelece o cruzamento de elementos presentes na sua produção científica entre as décadas de 1990 e 2000: as viagens acadêmicas, sua formação em Paris, o engajamento com outros/as pesquisadores/as e a liderança em projetos de pesquisa nacionais e internacionais. Seu posicionamento interdisciplinar, acompanhando o movimento historiográfico da mesma geração de historiadores/as, passou por significativas rupturas conceituais, temáticas e metodológicas. Considerando que o percurso da historiadora não se fez de maneira unilateral, a construção da rede de colaboração, como um processo, foi um exercício de constantes esforços. O movimento de aproximação e de encontros entre diferentes grupos e pesquisas passa a ter efeitos significativos nas trajetórias individuais, em uma dinâmica relacional de trocas e de grande circulação internacional. Trazemos para este artigo a perspectiva da mobilidade científica como elemento estruturante para um projeto intelectual de uma carreira acadêmica, que também passa por questões de gênero. Se, por um lado, a abertura para entrada das mulheres na academia, em todos os níveis educacionais, foi um avanço significativo, por outro, trouxe à tona os desafios das disparidades de gênero relacionadas à progressão da carreira intelectual e à demanda pela alta produtividade científica e as relações hierárquicas impostas dentro e fora das instituições.

ABSTRACT
Through a history of the intellectual dislocations of the gaúcha historian Sandra Jatahy Pesavento, we intend to reflect on how scientific mobility experiences stand out in their production and how they have been mobilized over time. We privilege the reflection that establishes the intersection of elements present in her scientific production in the decades of 1990 and 2000: academic travels, training in Paris, engagement with other researchers and leadership in national and international research projects. Her interdisciplinary positioning, following the historiographical movement of the same generation of historians, has significant conceptual, thematic and methodological ruptures. Considering that the historian’s trajectory was not made unilaterally, the construction of the collaboration network, as a process, was an exercise of constant efforts. The movement of approximation and encounters between different groups and researches starts to have significant effects on individual trajectories, in a relational dynamic of exchanges and great international circulation. We bring to this article the perspective of scientific mobility as a structuring element for an intellectual project of an academic career, which also involves gender issues. If, on the one hand, the opening for women to enter the academy, at all educational levels, was a significant advance, on the other, it brought to light the challenges of gender disparities related to intellectual career progression and the demand for high productivity scientific and hierarchical relationships imposed inside and outside of institutions.
