Abstract

This article examines the definition of architectural projects for the Federal Institutes during their creation and expansion (2008-2015). Through document analysis and interviews, the study identified implementation criteria and technical-political challenges. The study adopted a standard project, adapted to local and budgetary differences. It concludes that the projects prioritized functionality and cost-effectiveness. Future expansions should integrate pedagogical, technical, and political aspects, balancing standardization, local adaptation, and community participation.

Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) and in Computer Science from the University Center of the State of Pará (CESUPA). Since 2012, he has been a professor at the Federal Institute of Brasília (IFB), where he teaches subjects such as computer graphics and technical drawing. He participates in research and extension projects, such as the development of urban furniture and innovative solutions for education.

He conducts research on History, History Teaching, Audiovisual Language, and Professional and Technological Education (EPT). He is a faculty member of the professional master's program in Professional and Technological Education within the National Network (ProfEPT), in the research line Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in Professional and Technological Education. He is a History professor at the Federal Institute of Brasília (IFB), Recanto das Emas Campus.
