Abstract

This paper compares the Ramaphosa’s foreign policy with that adopted by the Mandela, Mbeki and Zuma governments. Based on primary and secondary sources and taking into account that the Ramaphosa administration is in progress, it seeks to demonstrate that the international and regional insertion processes that are being carried out bring as a main characteristic the attempt to strengthen the interaction between foreign policy and development economic, in the same way as the Mbeki and Zuma governments. Having done so, it seeks to demonstrate that the current foreign policy maintains universality in foreign policy, multilateralism and economic diplomacy as characteristics, which were already present in previous administrations.
