This work intends to show a part of the life and work of the painter Paul Cézanne. We will also address how color, compounds the visual experience, is present in his works. We will show how neuroscience addresses some questions about the visual experience that can be related to Cézanne's painting. We will compile the importance of visibility as an enigma with which painting deals. We will have as a theoretical basis the work of Merleau-Ponty, especially the Phenomenology of Perception and the Eye and the Spirit. Finally, we will try to understand how Cézanne dealt with the landscape of the Sainte-Victoire Mountain, fundamental in his work, and finally we will suggest the reason he painted it countless times.
