This paper aims to propose an analysis of the poetic works of Herberto Helder, inferring the principles of a contemporary and post-modern poetics, in addition to the observation of the utopian and dystopian aspects in the representation of the voice. It appears that the herbertian poetics is in a dialectic with the voice that seeks to be heard through the word, becoming the appropriate space for the embodiment of the dreams of the strange and the foreign. To this end, the reading of the works will be considered, focusing especially on the books Os Passos em Volta (2005), Poemas Completos (2016) and Photomaton & Vox (2017).
