The community-movement of the school space: a report of experiences in Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental Santa Helena, Santa Maria, RS

Abstract

This report, initially presented as an evaluation of the subject “Vivências Pedagógicas II” (GCC 1087) of the Geography course at OMITIDO PARA AVALIAÇÃO, is dedicated to discussing the results obtained during the insertion of the academic in the reality of the Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental Santa Helena, in order to understand the existing dynamics in the school as a space for management, organization and education, or in other words, its 'community-movement'. Furthermore, it aims to recognize the importance of the discipline for the initial formation of Geography teachers, since it puts the subjects in formation in constant contact and exchanges with the school. Therefore, the methodology adopted in this report is participant observation with the recording of moments of dialogue with members of the school community and the description of its movement and space, also following a practical application carried out by the (future) teacher aiming to contribute with the community-school movement.
