DA PRÁTICA SIGNIFICANTE LEXICOGRÁFICA

Resumo

Though dictionaires hold the appearance of lexical catalogues, theyare constituted as texts with their own rules for the production of meaning. As such,they take the value of a didactic discourse that under the appearance of neutrality,exert strong influence on society’s linguistic behaviors. In order to bring to lightthe non-neutrality (absence of neutrality) of the lexicographical discourse, theauthor undertakes an analysis of the entry woman in a set of dictionaires ofPortuguese language from a point of view that conceives this semantic microcosmas a place of tension between the individual and the collective.
