Resumo

This article shows us the fable as a manipulation discourse, embeddingthree texts: a) a deceptive text, settled up by a polemic dialogue between theaddresser (a trickster) and the addressee of a verbal manipulation; b) an ironictext, which — concerning the narrator and/or the manipulated actant viewpoint —operates the countermanipulation of the deceptive text (a), by means of both a“desmythical” discourse (the deception revealed) and of a “ridicularization”process (the laughing negative sanction provoked by the deception exhibition): atlast, c) an exemplar text which provides a sort of moralization to the story told by(a) plus (b) — and by doing so converts itself in the starting point to a new processof manipulation: of the fable readers now.
