Man, it's magic: the ethnographic sensibility of the low vision person

Starting from people's narratives about their visual experiences, the article aims to understand low vision in the key of subjectivation. It is, therefore, about going beyond the biomedical definitions of low vision to understand it as a corporeal, relational and situated reality that is central for the formulation of ways of being in the world. As an analytical resource to reflect on the forms of subjectivation of people with low vision, the article proposes an analogy with ethnography. That is, the article's argument invites the reader to think of low vision as a kind of ethnography, as well as to read ethnography itself as a 'crippled' form of knowledge production.
