ADHERENCE TO TREATMENT IN PATIENTS WITH MENTAL DISORDERS

The success of the treatment is influenced by many factors and the adherence in a particular way. The assessment of the adherence is a very important step in the therapeutic process. The objective of the this study is to review the adherence to treatment in patients with mental disorders. The authors discuss the influence of psychosocial factors, of affective disorder and anxiety, of psychose and insight in the adherence to treatment. A profile of patients with high risk to no adherence could be set out at the end.
