HCPA’s patient care protocol for intravitreal injections: diabetic macular edema

O edema macular diabético é uma das principais causas de deficiência visual no mundo
e a indicação mais comum para injeções intravítreas no Hospital de Clínicas
de Porto Alegre. O tratamento com injeção intravítrea de
medicamentos anti-fator de crescimento endotelial vascular, incluindo bevacizumabe, revolucionou o resultado do paciente às
custas de múltiplas injeções mensais. Como em outros hospitais, discrepâncias na
conduta da equipe de saúde e dificuldades logísticas comprometem a eficácia do tratamento.
Portanto, desenvolvemos um protocolo de tratamento baseado na literatura para
edema macular diabético, no qual estabelecemos critérios para inclusão e exclusão de pacientes,
regime de tratamento e acompanhamento do paciente. Esperamos que o protocolo de tratamento otimize
a eficácia do atendimento ao paciente em edema macular diabético
