Afro-Brazilian religions: knowledge, reception and resistance.

This study analyzes the resistance strategies promoted by the Afro-Brazilian Religions, which have been fighting for the right to be in social spaces, as well as for the preservation of their identities in an affirmative way regarding the recognition and valorization of their knowledge and religiosities. Therefore, we have used the theoretical perspective of Cultural Studies in Education, combined with ethnographic methodological inspiration. We analyze that, both through welcoming and through the construction of identity based on the worldview of Afro-Brazilian Religions, resistances are created according to Afro-centered perspectives of their adepts and in their religious spaces.
