The article aims at socializing a research on didactic Geography books for last years within primary Brazilian school (3rd and 4rth Circles), regarding cartographic language. It was qualitatively assessed the relation of discursive texts and activities to maps, with focus on spatial citizenship consciousness. The theoretical referral summoned the concept of Geographic Education as compromised with pupil´s citizenship; and the cartographic maps in school as methodological instruments relating contents with geographical spatiality. Results reveal desirable trends of the cartographic contents within the sampled collection, but there remains a lack of improvement as to pedagogical articulation of texts and maps, and of those with activities.Downloads
