Abstract

This article proposes an analytical approach based on the theoretical production of contemporary Sociology, to reflect on the conservatisms (plural) of modern Brazil. It seeks to understand the specificities of the emergence of neoconservatism and the process of bolsonarization – understood as a network of structural and conjunctural determinations – recognizing the points of regularity, the common denominators that produce the symbolic unity and the points of divergence and peculiarities inherent to this process. To this end, it is highlighted that, in fact, in the field of culture, social practices and political culture, Brazil lives under the aegis of a neoconservatism that helps to "feed" and even justify various actions taken by the current government.
