Abstract
"Dear readers,
The editorial team wishes to thank for the contribution of reviewers and authors of the different manuscripts published in this journal. After completing five years of significant efforts and challenges, we have achieved greater visibility and repercussion, through manuscripts of high scientific relevance in the analytical area. However, we still face severe adversities related to the scarcity of research resources, arising from an erratic policy of financial support on the part of government managers in science and technology. This scenario had a negative impact on the production of manuscripts and maintenance of a minimum structure for carrying out activities related to the journal. Although we are facing a very unfavorable situation, we express our commitment to continuing as a means of disseminating scientific production in the analytical area. In the current issue, in addition to the original manuscripts, we are publishing a special section containing the abstracts of the XIII Meetingof the Pharmaceutical Sciences Graduate Program of UFRGS covering different themes carried out by the research groups of theProgram. We wish you all an excellent read."
