This essay proposes a reflection upon the role of affection in the acts of writing and also upon the learning opportunities sparked by the sharing of the dramaturgical writing, among teacher and students, in Theatre classes, based on a critical-analytical account of the process of creating the successful play O mar de Fiote, produced in 2014, as a creative exercise, within the discipline Theatre Teaching Methodology 2, in the Theatre Teaching Course, at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, in which the proposal was to build a dramaturgy inspired by the book of the same name by the writer and Illustrator Mariângela Haddad.
