Resistência erosiva do esmalte adjacente à restauração alkasite.

Resumo

Objetivo: comparar o potencial de redução da perda mineral de dentes bovinos restaurados com Cention N® e outros materiais restauradores frente a um desafio erosivo. Materiais e Métodos: Blocos de esmalte foram confeccionados e selecionados conforme a microdureza superficial inicial. Foram realizadas cavidades e restaurações com quatro materiais restauradores: Cention® N, resina Filtek™ One Bulk Fill, Riva Light Cure e Riva Self Cure, seguidas de acabamento e polimento. O desafio erosivo foi executado pela imersão em solução de ácido cítrico a 1% por 10 minutos, sob agitação mecânica. Após o desafio erosivo, testes de microdureza superficial foram utilizados para comparar diferenças na microdureza próximo à interface dente/restauração. A análise estatística incluiu o teste t de Student, teste t pareado e ANOVA. Resultados: Não foram observadas diferenças em relação à microdureza inicial entre os grupos. Ademais, não houve diferença estatisticamente significativa entre os valores de microdureza inicial e final dentro de cada grupo (p>0,05), assim como entre os diferentes materiais restauradores após o desafio erosivo (p=0,26). Discussão: A falta de proteção do Cention N® contra a erosão ácida pode sido influenciada pela ausência de simulação da cavidade oral, como o uso da saliva, e pela intensidade do protocolo erosivo. Conclusão: Os materiais restauradores liberadores de íons, incluindo Cention N®, não foram capazes de atuar na prevenção da perda mineral após o desafio erosivo.
