Abstract

Dental perforations are artificial voids which communicate the root canal system with the adjacent tissue. Despite the fact they may cause irreversible damage, the proper therapeutic approach enhance prognosis. Besides an accurate diagnose, a biocompatible and tight seal is desirable to attain success. Among other materials, Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA), due to its excellent biological, physical and chemical properties, brings a new perspective in thThe proposit of this study was to evaluate the linear dimensional change and the ocorrency or not of porosities in four types of acrylic resin for denture bases. There were analysed the acrylic resins of trademarks: Classico, QC 20, Vipi Dent and Classico Onda Cryl. The polimerization methods differed among: conventionals, according to manufacturer’s recomendations, and by microwave energy, with or without chemical polishing, in proper equipment of Termotron trademark. treatment of perforations.
