Aim: To present a case report of temporomandibular disorder associated with global postural changes. Case Report: Female patient, white, 27 years old, student, reported pain in the temporomandibular joint and muscles on the right side of the face for approximately 3 months. At the same time, he presented with side pain in his knees, especially when performing physical activity. The diagnosis of temporomandibular dysfunction was reached using the RDC/TMD protocol. Postural examinations and tests were carried out, such as posture assessment, baropodometric examination and dynamic treadmill test. Changes were found in the ankles, tibia, femur, knees, pelvis, spine, head, and neck. The treatment carried out was interdisciplinary, using an occlusal stabilizing plate and physiotherapeutic techniques such as global postural exercises, laser, hyperboloid, and use of personalized insoles. After two months of treatment, the patient had no pain complaints, increased mouth opening and improved posture. Discussion: Temporomandibular dysfunction is often associated with other musculoskeletal changes such as head posture, spine, and changes in gait. There is a lack of studies involving global postural assessment in patients with temporomandibular disorders. Conclusion: There is a need for a broader look when it comes to changes in orofacial myofunctional functions, as they are often not an isolated problem but part of a larger problem, such as a condition of global postural change.
