A survey of literature on the inarticulation of acrylic resin dentures occurring during and after processing is made, and the information appraised. Conclusions: All phases of processing are important. Investing materials, separating media, thickness of resin denture bases, pressures on closure of the mold, manipulation of resin, and curing cycles should be analized in conjunction when data of any investigation is to be interpreted. Friction of the resin against the mold in molding procedures added to thickness of the bases seem to influence subs tancially on induction and releasing of stresses.
