Abstract

The author examined dental follicles of 2, 4, and 10 days old cats. He made a morphological study of dentino enamel junction. He watched sections of 7 and 14 micra, got by the: Powers Method with modifications. The author conclusions were: a — Dentinoenamel junction is not a simple limit between two tissues. The first thing to appear is the basal membrane and by this membrane the ameloblasts deposit what is called <epithelial membrane>. b — dentinoenamel junction is smooth in the first steps of its development, it shows only the scalopps provoked by the Tomes Process of ameloblasts. c — Cells, other than the ameloblasts, seems to form the internal epithelium of enamel organ. d — In the periphery of papilla of the follicles examined, only odontoblass were identified.
