Abstract

Attention is called upon the importance of interproximal <bitewing> dental roentgenograms for the diagnosis, mainly, of interproximal caries. In view of the fact that «bitewing» films are scarce in the local dental stores, various procedures using the standard dental X-ray film for this purpose are sugested, and commented. The easy and simple construction of an acrylic film holder appliance which may prove to be of great usefulness for taking interproximal dental roentgenograms, using standard X-ray films, is throughly described and illustred.
