Abstract

The purpose of this literature review is to show as the computerized tomography can aid in the diagnosis and preoperative surgical planning in implantology. We report historical aspects and evolution until the current days, operation principles, image acquisition and the major parameters that should be appraised in the mandible and maxilla.
