This work focuses on an experience of training indigenous teachers from Acre in the discipline of Geography. It discusses certain aspects of geographic knowledge related to the natural phenomena of some indigenous peoples who live in the tropical forests of the western Brazilian Amazon, specifically located in Acre and Southwest Amazonas. Each people who live in this region has their own vision and understanding of their world, they have created ways of living, using their territory, managing the landscape, and it is these different perspectives on natural phenomena in the tropical environment that this text will address.
