ANALYSIS IN THE SCIENTIFIC FIELD RESEARCH WITH THE THEME “THIRD SECTOR” IN BRAZIL UNDER THE PERSPECTIVE OF NETWORKS

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the scientific publications of Third Sector in Brazil, considered from the perspective of cooperation networks among authors, institutions, regional location and methodological aspects linked to them. The theoretical framework includes aspects related to studies of the Third Sector and social networks from the perspective of analysis of centrality. The study based on networks of cooperation will contribute to understanding the structures of relationship between accounting and management researchers on Third Sector. It has been conducted a prospective longitudinal research with sociometric on 174 articles. The methodology used is empirical analysis, conducted by collecting, calculating and analyzing data. It is characterized as descriptive of the aims, procedures and documentation regarding the quantitative and qualitative approach of the problem. The research shows there is a low density of networks of co-authorship, and the regional structure focused on internal publications. When compared with the institutions network by authors feature regionalist, it appears that there was only one association with the foreign institution and that the north does not search the area.
