SOCIAL BALANCE: ANALYSES OF EVOLUTION OF THE SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL INDICATORS THE BANRISUL (2005-2007)

Currently, all the segments of the society has constantly discussed questions of how to improve the relationship between business and community. Because of this worry and to give the clarity and transparency in financial information, it created a report which is called Social Balance. This originated of the difficulties that people suffered by war, racial discriminations and, later, for environmental questions. The object of this article is analyze the evolution of this social and environmental indicators presented of the Social Balance of the State Bank of the Rio Grande Sul, in the period 2005 to 2007. The methodology used was the case studies; to the treatment of the information, it was performed the horizontal and vertical analysis of the Social Balance in the above mentioned period. The results indications of Social Balance demonstrated that this Balance has maintained over the years a consistent policy of social and environments investments, which fallowed the evolution of the financial economic indicators.
