Abstract

This article maps and characterizes the distribution of green jobs or jobs with green potential for the Brazilian states. Data from the RAIS 2021 are used and as methodological strategy, locational quotients identify sectoral specialization. It is proposed, from a qualified occupational section in terms of skills, a matrix of technologically green jobs. The results highlighted the green and technologically green potential of Rondônia, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Tocantins, Pará, Alagoas and Pernambuco. About the activities, agriculture and livestock, forest production and others linked to the primary sector demonstrated a prominent potential for technological greening. Sustainable development must be combined with the new dynamics and changes in the economy, and the creation of green skills and learnings is central to this path.
