ÍNDICE RELATIVO DE DESENVOLVIMENTO ECONÔMICO E SÓCIO DOS MUNICIPIOS DO REGIÃO SUDOESTE PARANAENSE

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the development of the towns from the southwest of Paraná, aiming specially to rate a development index, verifying the determiners factors of this development and to put in a hierarchical order the specific towns, according to developmental levels. The results showed that the average development index, on a scale of 1 to 100, stayed in 34,29, resulting in a total of 16 towns (43,24%) above this value and 21 towns (56,76%) below this index. According to the development degree, the order evidenced that more than half of the towns are found in a low level of development, suggesting that something must be done in a way of minimize the effects generated by the aspects which should be worked in a more intense way in order to improve the life of the people and therefore the situation of the towns.
