CADEIAS PRODUTIVAS, CADEIAS DO CONHECIMENTO E DEMANDAS TECNOLÓGICAS NO NORDESTE: ANALISE DE POTENCIALIDADES E DE ESTRANGULAMENTOS

Abstract

The main goal of this article is to analyse the chains of knowledge and the productive ones in the Northeast of Brazil, considering their main features and technological demands. It takes into account institutional arrangements which can support the Region's technological development, as well as policies and tools to be implemented in order to stimulate partnerships between K&D institutions and the productive sector. Two key vectors are considered for that: the consolidation of Local Innovative Systems and the formulation of developmental policies designed with spatial purposes. The paper underlines the importance of enhancing the Northeast's innovative systems having the concentration of resources and the focus on technological demands of the economy as its strategy.
