Through Granger's causality tests, with quarterly data, from the first quarter of 1972 until the last one of 1987, for the Brazilian economy, it has been verified that a unidirectional causal relationship exists going from the more restricted monetary aggregates to the nominal income level, and from this variable to the monetary aggregates in their broader concept.Downloads
