The waiting lists of elective patients in health services are a worldwide problem. In Brazil, discussions on this topic are still incipient, which reinforces the need for educational actions for professionals who work in the management of waiting lists for surgical and elective clinical patients. The goal of this study is to describe the experience report of the process of construction of digital teaching materials prepared based on the Instructional System Design (ISD) guidelines, of the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) for a multiprofessional training course on management of waiting lists for surgical and elective clinical patients. The study describes the design stage proposed by the model, with the analysis, design and development phases being developed. The elaboration of the course involving digital teaching materials took place from August 2021 to September 2022 through remote weekly meetings on Google Meet® to discuss, define and approve referrals and products. Three videos and two comics were produced on the topic of management in surgical and clinical elective patients’ waiting lists. It is considered that the use of digital teaching materials for the educational actions of professionals working in public health institutions is important to reduce the disparity in management and conditions of waiting lists in different regions of Brazil. The resources presented can alleviate differences and promote equity in elective patient care.
