An academic experience as a monitor in morphology: histology and anatomy

Abstract

This paper focusses the author’s academic experience as a monitorship of Morphology: Histology and Anatomy from second semester of 1996 to first semester of 1998 at Universidade Regional do Noroeste do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul - UNIJUÍ, Ijuí/RS. It intends to emphasize the importance of monitor activity as a way to develop the technical ability with handling of materials; to get a closer contact with teaching staff besides review the contents have already learnt. In the evaluation, the students see the monitor as an essential activity in which both the students and the monitor learn more with the interaction.
