Abstract

O advento de uma política nacional de educação integral, através do Programa Mais Educação, tornou-se condição favorável para uma atualização dos sentidos da democracia, sob a inspiração de Anísio Teixeira. O artigo objetiva interpretar a tríade educação, política e cidadania, bem como as possibilidades contemporâneas de a convivência democrática constituir-se princípio pedagógico na escola pública. Mediante interpretação sociológica, conclui que novas regulações à educação integral e o imperativo de reconstrução de narrativas de sentido social centradas nas diferenças culturais constituem desafios que se impõem à gestão dessas políticas
