Abstract

As políticas educacionais têm atribuído, nas últimas décadas, grande ênfase à preocupação com a eficiência dos sistemas, medida por meio dos resultados escolares, conformando nova regulação de forças no interior das escolas. Nesse contexto, os docentes são tomados como os principais agentes dessas instituições, devendo responsabilizar-se pelo seu êxito ou fracasso. O artigo procura centrar as discussões na experiência brasileira, trazendo como ilustração algumas políticas recentes que apontam nessa direção.
