O provimento do cargo de gestor escolar e a qualidade de ensino: análise de publicações nacionais (1990-2005)

Abstract

A pesquisa que originou este artigo teve como objetivo principal analisar como as publicações brasileiras entre 1990 a 2005 estabelecem a relação entre: forma de provimento do cargo de diretor de escola pública e gestão democrática e qualidade de ensino. Foram listados 38 livros, distribuídos em três períodos: 1990-1995; 1996-2000; 2001-2005. A partir do segundo período existe crescente consenso entre os pesquisadores sobre a eleição de diretores como a forma de provimento que se relaciona diretamente com a democratização da gestão e a melhoria da qualidade, entendida esta como construção coletiva e participativa dos objetivos e práticas da educação escolar.
