Terceira Via e políticas educacionais: um novo mantra para a educação

A partir da revisão da literatura especializada, o artigo objetiva relacionar a sociologia de Giddens com a doutrina da Terceira Via. Entre as propostas se destacam novas atribuições da sociedade civil e do Estado, sobretudo em matéria de políticas sociais e educacionais. Algumas continuidades entre a sociologia de Giddens e a Terceira Via são demonstradas, como a reflexibilidade, os resultados não-esperados das ações individuais e a imponderabilidade do capitalismo global, referendando concepções como a incapacidade humana para determinar sua história e a importância da formação do indivíduo reflexivo, através da educação, para enfrentar os desafios da contemporaneidade.
