Os caminhos da produção científica sobre gestão escolar no Brasil

Este artigo apresenta um levantamento bibliográfico da pesquisa brasileira sobre gestão escolar. A partir da análise dos bancos de dados da ANPEd, CAPES e de um projeto de pesquisa da PUC-SP, o levantamento identificou um conjunto de 183 trabalhos de mestrado e doutorado em educação que examina a probemática da gestão escolar. Com base na leitura dos resumos, compõs-se um conjunto de categorias heurísticas para explicar como as pesquisas abordaram a problemática da gestão escolare como foram tratados seus temas correlatos. O texto conclui apresentando a tendência dominante da pesquisa científica na áres e mostrando a variedade de abordagens no estudo da temática ao longo do período investigado (1981-2001).
