The second edition of the book Research Methods in Public Administration (PA) and Public Management (PM) by Sandra Thiel offers an up-to-date and practical guide to current research methods in the fields of PA and PM. This is a necessary step since research in these areas has changed considerably due to the new forms of relationship among the triad State, Government and Society. The book is structured in twelve chapters, starting with the elaboration of the research question and ending with the dissemination of the results. It also explores relevant research methods such as surveys, case studies and documentary research, among others. This edition highlights the specificities of applied research in AP-GP, contributing to the methodological strengthening of these areas. It is therefore a reference for those interested in investigating AP-PG with scientific rigor and practical relevance.
