Abstract

O papel do ensino superior no desenvolvimento, exige políticas públicas educativas que impactam nos indivíduos e na sociedade. Neste artigo, analisa-se a evolução da procura de ensino superior, no período 2000-2020 em Portugal, à luz de políticas públicas conduzidas em contextos diferentes: períodos de crescimento económico e de austeridade; períodos de governação de centro-direita e de centro-esquerda, a fim de perceber se existe ligação entre a procura de educação e o enquadramento político do governo aceitando-se a hipótese de que a procura varia consoante o espectro político do governo.
