The landscape in the teaching of geography from the teaching books used in middle schools in Porto Nacional - TO

Abstract

: The present work has as general objective to analyze how the concept of landscape by teachers and didactic book is approached in high school, in the state and federal public schools of Porto Nacional - TO. The textbooks of Geography of 08 schools of Basic Education of the State Public Network of Porto Nacional (02 rural schools) and 01 federal institution were analyzed. In order to reach this general objective we began our work with a bibliographical review with the analysis of the transformations of the landscape concept in the history of geographic science and later we analyze how the concept of landscape is approached by didactic collections adopted by the schools. It was observed that the concept of landscape appears more frequently in the first year of high school and is presented from different theoretical and methodological approaches. The research is underway with data and preliminary results.
