Abstract

This proposal seeks to discuss the importance of the Institutional Scholarship Initiative Program (PIBID) for the ongoing training of practicing teachers in schools where the practices of the Program become effective. In this sense, we analyze the practices of the supervisors of PIBID of Geography of the State University of Paraíba (UEPB) that work in schools of the city of Campina Grande- PB. The study follows the guidelines of the qualitative research in education, seeking a theoretical contribution in authors that deal with the formative processes for teaching, especially in Geography. It is verified through the interviews that the program has added greater meaning to the process of continuous training since it represents a way to reflect on the practice. In addition, the supervisors have (re) valued their knowledge constituted throughout the teaching and that are product of their experience in the school space.
