Abstract

This research presents the process and the results of the production of pedagogical material in geography for riverside communities of the Tefé-AM FLONA. The methodology for the preparation of the material is based on social cartography, dialogue of knowledge and participatory research. Its elaboration has emerged from the evidence of the need to build actions related to the improvement of education in FLONA. The material was presented, evaluated and approved by the FLONA Board, and its organization and writing are adequate. Its content is centered in the teaching of geographic science, based on geographical concepts, but it presents indications of interdisciplinary possibilities, seeking to be consistent with the reality on the basis of which it was produced.
