PRÁTICAS TRANSLÍNGUES NO INSTITUTO MOINHO CULTURAL SUL-AMERICANO NA FRONTEIRA BOLÍVIA-BRASIL: LÍNGUAS, CULTURAS E IDENTIDADES

Abstract

The Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano (South American Moinho Cultural Institute)  is a social initiative that serves children and young people from the border region, involving four municipalities between Bolivia and Brazil, offering artistic training activities, complemented with practice in the region's communication languages : Portuguese and Spanish. This article deals with the implementation of the principles of translanguaging in linguistic practices carried out in this non-school education environment, through an extension project approved by the Federal University of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul and has the support of researchers from the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul, specialists in area. Qualitative research, of an ethnographic nature, aims to develop and record the activities carried out during the extension project for subsequent analysis and reflection. The action foresees the participation of academics from the Languages and Literature Program of Federal University of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul- Pantanal Campus, in the role of auxiliary collaborators. The ongoing project has fostered participants' sensitivity and reflection regarding their own and their companions' linguistic repertoire, with attitudes of recognition of diversity in an exercise that seeks to promote social justice
