Abstract

The defense of a nuestroamericana university (Segato, 2013) starts from understanding ways of perceiving the knowledge produced by subjects disregarded in the studies of epistemologies that circulate in educational institutions. With regard to original peoples, it is identified that, inside and outside the villages, indigenous women mobilize for the continuity of traditions while participating in audiovisual production and re-elaborating and constructing anti-colonial and anti-racist narratives. In this scenario, we analyzed the project and script of Mboapy Yakã - Três rios, written by Patrícia Ferreira Pará Yxapy in partnership with filmmaker Leonardo Josef Schifino Wittmann, a feature film project that, when completed, will be the first work of fiction signed by an indigenous woman in Brazil.  Based on the story of two Mbyá-Guarani women characters, with the contribution of decolonial references of cosmopraxis (Stutzman, 2009), affective alliances (Krenak, 2016), the women of Abya Yala and their common differences (Espinosa-Miñoso, 2021) and body-territory community feminism (Cabnal, 2010), we set out to think of them as bodies-territories committed to preserving the nhandereko. From the ideas of bonding thinking, we believe that the recovery and sharing of the meanings of dreams and prayers for the Guarani were the paths chosen by the filmmaker to find the nhe'e that is “worth talking about” to the non-indigenous and to narrate a story of body-territories, ancestry and the future. We therefore intend to offer libraries what we have achieved in the way of knowing and being in the Mbyá-Guarani world.
