This essay explores the possibilities of using artificial intelligence (AI) as a complementary tool in the preservation and revitalization of indigenous languages in Brazil. Recognizing the central role of these languages in building the identity and collective memory of Indigenous peoples, the text emphasizes that they are sources of cultural, historical, and epistemological potential that transcend mere communication. In this context, AI is presented as a strategic ally to reinforce existing initiatives, such as the creation of digital archives, translation programs, and language teaching, but never as a primary element in this process. By analyzing the potential and challenges of this interaction, the study seeks to foster debate on indigenous literature and highlight the importance of strengthening linguistic diversity in Brazil, valuing these languages as indispensable living heritage in academia and society.
