Resumo

Resumo: Neste artigo, fundamentado nos campos da História e da Antropologia, com destaque para os Estudos Culturais, Pós-Coloniais e Decoloniais, assim como para a Antropologia Interpretativa e Visual, cartografo repertórios de narrativas escritas, imagéticas e orais sobre viveres e lutas interculturais, pelo regime das águas, de populações marajoaras de matrizes afroindígenas, procurando analisar saberes, práticas de trabalho, modos de habitar, acreditar e se relacionar de humanos e não-humanos. Para tanto, exploro vivências pessoais pelos Marajós em suas complexas fisionomias de campos e florestas, leituras em obras de cronistas, viajantes, literatos, historiadores e antropólogos, cruzando com fotografias produzidas, tanto em pesquisa de campo, realizada em agosto de 2008, quanto extraídas dos livros do etnólogo Nunes Pereira, do cineasta Liberto Luxardo e do padre Giovanni Galo, que, entre as décadas de 1950 a 1980, dedicaram-se a registrar e narrar cenas dos modos de viver no grande arquipélago.

CARTOGRAPHY & PHOTOETNOGRAPHY OF WATERS: WAYS OF LIFE AND STRUGGLE IN MARAJOARA AMAZON

 

 

Abstract: In this article, based on the fields of History and Anthropology, with emphasis on Cultural, Postcolonial and Decolonial Studies, as well as for Interpretive and Visual Anthropology, cartographical repertoires of written, imaginary and oral narratives about intercultural fights and struggles , by the water regime, of the Marajoara populations of Afroindigenous matrices, trying to analyze knowledge, work practices, ways of inhabiting, believing and relating human and nonhuman. For this, I explore personal experiences by the Marajós in their complex physiognomies of fields and forests, readings in works of chroniclers, travelers, writers, historians and anthropologists, crossing with photographs produced, both in field research, carried out in August 2008, and extracted the books of the ethnologist Nunes Pereira, the filmmaker Liberto Luxardo and Father Giovanni Galo, who, between the decades of 1950 and 1980, dedicated themselves to record and narrate scenes of the ways of life in the great archipelago.
