Abstract

This article investigates the relationships between affection, memory, and the trajectory of feminine adornments through the resignification of pieces with affective value. Based on the analysis of two cases attended by the remonta® project — the accounts of Adélia and Maitê, women who transformed adornments inherited from their foremothers — it seeks to understand how family memories are inscribed, preserved, and transmitted through these objects. Through narrative interviews with a qualitative approach, the research dialogues with concepts of collective memory (Halbwachs) and material culture (Stallybrass). The results indicate that resignification operates as a gesture of memory that reactivates bonds between generations, re-circulates silenced feminine histories, and resists the logic of disposability, affirming adornments as affective archives of women's trajectories.
