Rastros etnográficos: caminhada e fotografia em uma pesquisa sobre arte de rua

Abstract

This work addresses the relationship between street art and the city from an ethnographic perspective where space is read through human interference captured through walking exercises and photographic practice. This photo-ethnographic exercise, developed during doctoral research, addressed itineraries underlying the images seen (the urban landscape), created (street art) and captured in the city (photography). On customary or wandering paths, in Natal and Paris, you can see the traces of those who passed by leaving vivid marks, full of provocations. These paths cross the itineraries of the researcher who, when searching for the meanings of the production of those images, comes across lines of flight, of life and existence of which he is part and affects him. These traces denote perceptions and emotions that make up the ordinary experience of that moment in front of the image. We are all inside these images that can, at any moment, be erased or decanted into some superimposed layer of paint, files or memories.
