The group members face prejudice and stigma in their daily lives from the government, which implies in a lack of recognition of Breaking’s artistic and sportive value, denying opportunities of dialogue and financial support to the group. It widens the group’s particularities, its limitations and what are these young individuals’ propositions in the dance practice and sociability processes in a small town area. The article also aims to problematize Breaking’s practitioners period of maternity and paternity. The research method was inspired by the observation of José Machado Pais' daily life and the production of images, with the intention of inserting researchers in the field and collecting data for the research.
